Officer applications for 2022 - 2023 Elite Dance Team academic year are currently CLOSED.
Officer Audition Process:
-
Based on Spring Show season leaderships skills and behavior
-
Nominated by coaches
-
Anonymous team voting for each position
-
Officer interviews will be conducted via BAND with coaching staff
-
Must be on the team for one full academic year in order to audition for an officer position
Captain Responsibilities:
-
Represents the team on and off the field (aka President)
-
Attends Student Org trainings and meetings
-
Leads the team choreography and oversees practices
-
Records demerit system
-
Position is held for a year at a time
Co-Captain Responsibilities:
-
Leads by example and in the absence of the captain/coach (aka Vice President)
-
Maintains attendance
-
Issues demerits within 7 days of the initial event to the corresponding dancer or the demerit is null-in-void
-
Ensures a positive team atmosphere
-
Position is held for a year at a time
1st Lieutenant Responsibilities:
-
Leads the team in absence of the captain and co-captain
-
Sends reminders and notifications
-
In absence of this position, duties get split with the managers and co-captain
